Radiology Director directs and coordinates activities of a radiology or diagnostic imaging department in a hospital or other medical facility. Reviews work schedules and assigns duties to workers to maintain patient flow and achieve production goals. Being a Radiology Director oversees staff in operation of imaging equipment, such as x-ray machine, fluoroscope, CT scanner, or MRI equipment. Evaluates accuracy and quality of images and provides technical assistance to staff. Additionally, Radiology Director demonstrates new techniques, equipment, and procedures to staff. Implements and monitors radiation safety measures to ensure safety of patients and staff and compliance with regulatory requirements. Develops and implements plans, policies, and procedures regarding operations and staffing and, the purchasing of radiology supplies. May require an advanced degree. Responsible for the oversight and supervision of clinical operations and practice at all BH radiology locations, including Park Avenue Medical Center and the Milford Campus. Ennsures achievement of the YNHH strategic objectives and mission in the field of patient service, teaching, research, and community service. Ensures compliance with provider-based regulations, exceptional stardards of practice, and efficient and cost effective operations, promotes a culture of safe and exemplary patient and family centered care, and facilitates the conduct of community based-clinical research. Manages a wide variety of administrative and fiscal activities to ensure the efficient operation of all clinical and non-clinical activities within the medical center including oversight of all staff and programs through a matrix reporting structure. The incumbent will have matrix responsibility for all personnel and programs of radiology at all campuses; inclusive of contracted services and personnel and YMG services. The incumbent identifies opportunities, develops business plans, and implements plans for program growth and development. Oversees all operations, budgeting, regulatory readiness, accreditation and credentialing, staff, quality and safety assurance, patient and physician experience & relations (most exams ordered by other physicians), contracted radiologist staffing, clinical program development, training and education, and marketing for all imaging locations .

EDUCATION
Bachelor's degree in business, public health, health services administration or related field required. Master's degree in Health Administration, Business Administration or related field preferred.
EXPERIENCE
5 years program leadership experience preferred. A minimum of 2 years of leadership directly in ambulatory or free standing surgical or healthcare facilities preferred. Significant operational and management skills required. Working knowledge of and experience with regulatory and TJC standards and requirements.

Ability to direct a diverse work force in an outpatient operational environment. Ability to manage and remain effective with multiple priorities. Excellent communication skills. Knowledge of and proficient in the operation and use of computer-based information systems, to facilitate all aspects of care delivery. Excellent administrative, technical, communication, customer service and organizational skills. Ability ot interact professionally at all levels of management and senior management and with physicians an deliver results in a team based collaborative practice environment. Strong management and financial management experiese with savvy business skills, along with exceptional clinical management knowledge. Ability to collaborate with professionals, clinicians, and support staff and the ability to build a collaborative practice environment. Flexibility and the ability to multi-task required. Ability to succssfully drive performance through a matrix reporting structure. Travel between network sites required.
Advance management degrees, licensed Radiology Tech and 5 years min Radiology management experience.
