Being a Radio Mechanic has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Additionally, Radio Mechanic works under immediate supervision. Description:
Candidate will be Installing radios, repeaters and repairing, testing, and troubleshooting this equipment. The other aspect of this job will be to help install radios, GPS systems, emergency lights, controllers, mobile computers, docking stations, mobile video recording equipment, and safety cages in vehicles. This work will be supporting SC State Police, various county police, and Motorola Customers.
We are looking for somebody that has experience working on vehicles, from an electronics stand point, experience wiring up lights, speakers, and various other components in cars is a huge plus. We are also looking for somebody that wants to grow a career in the wireless space, wants to learn about 2 way radios, DAS systems and public safety communications construction and engineering. They should have a good understanding of quality and what that means, also a strong understanding of low voltage and 12 volt power.
Additional Skills & Qualifications:
- Military or Public Service - Nice to have
- Experience with DAS systems, LMR systems, two-way radios, Network Routers - Nice to have
