Radio Frequency Engineer develops products and technologies related to wireless telecommunications by applying RF and mixed signal capabilities. Responsibilities may include RF front-end design, radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis and filter design, frequency coordination, analog-to-digital converters, cell site equipment layout, and circuit design. Being a Radio Frequency Engineer develops and executes product testing and integration plans for new or updated products. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Radio Frequency Engineer typically reports to supervisor or manager. The Radio Frequency Engineer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gains exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. To be a Radio Frequency Engineer typically requires 2 -4 years of related experience. (Copyright 2024 Salary.com)
Are you intrigued by solving complex modeling and simulation problems to support our nation’s ballistic missile defense?
Do you enjoy RF modeling, digital signal processing and developing RF signature prediction codes?
Are you looking for a company with cutting-edge computational tools, high-performance computing system and uncapped incentive opportunities?
If so, Corvid Technologies has the right opportunity for you! We are seeking a qualified entry- to mid-level RF Analyst to join our Ballistic Missile Defense Group in our Mooresville, NC or Alexandria, VA office. The Ballistic Missile Defense Group supports a variety of government programs through the modeling, simulation, and analysis of missile intercepts, BMDS radars and BMDS sensor data.
Candidates should have 2-5 years of experience in RF modeling, simulation, and analysis, with a solid background in digital signal processing and the development and use of analysis tools. The ideal candidate will have experience with RF signature prediction codes and algorithms (Xpatch, SAF, Periodic Method of Moments, ANSYS/HFSS, Cicero, etc.), as well as with high-level programming languages (MATLAB, C, C , Python). All candidates should be self-motivated and show excellent written and oral communication skills.
Who we want:
Why Corvid?
Founded in 2004, we are a group of over 300 engineers and scientists, about 3/4 with master’ degrees or Ph.D.'s, that provide end-to-end solutions including concept development, design and optimization, prototype build, test and manufacture. We leverage the predictive capability of our high-fidelity computational physics solvers, indigenous massively parallel supercomputer system, prototyping plant, and ballistics and mechanics lab to investigate a variety of high-rate physics phenomena.
The results are complex engineering solutions for a variety of applications; aircraft, ballistic missile defense, cybersecurity, motorsports, armor development, biological systems, and missile and warhead design and development. These results are achieved with optimal design and cost efficiency due to the predictive capability of Corvid’s tools and our in-house, end-to-end integrated approach, which differentiates Corvid from the market.
