Radio Frequency Engineer develops products and technologies related to wireless telecommunications by applying RF and mixed signal capabilities. Responsibilities may include RF front-end design, radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis and filter design, frequency coordination, analog-to-digital converters, cell site equipment layout, and circuit design. Being a Radio Frequency Engineer develops and executes product testing and integration plans for new or updated products. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Radio Frequency Engineer typically reports to supervisor or manager. The Radio Frequency Engineer occasionally directed in several aspects of the work.     LRC Wireless handles applications of wireless communications including, but not limited to: sales, service, warranty services, two-way radio systems, design and construction of wireless computer networks, antenna systems, tower sales, tower service, tower erection, emergency warning systems, access control, CCTV, and fiber optics(voice and data)installation.

    LRC provides service for many of the public safety departments throughout Louisiana, including State Police, 911 Centers, Police Departments, Sheriff Departments, Fire Departments, and Hospitals. LRC also provides service for many of the refinery's, pipeline companies, and petroleum reserves from Corpus Christi, TX. to New Orleans, LA.

    Louisiana Radio Communications is looking for Tower Technicians to help continue the successful growth of our company and continue to maintain the highest standards that have propelled us to where we are today!

    Summary: The Tower Technician plays a vital role in the company's achievement of growth and excellent service. The Tower Department is the most diversified department LRC Wireless has and is depended upon to work hand in hand with our other departments to achieve our customer's needs and expectations. The Tower Technician is needed and expected to climb whenever the opportunity arises.

    Primary Job Responsibilities:

    • Climb and work at heights on communications towers and similar structures; installing, replacing, and repairing antenna systems, lights, cameras, wireless links, etc.
    • Inspect towers and perform tower maintenance.
    • Site grounding and lightning protection installation, testing, and repairs.
    • Knowledge with the use and care of hand tools and mechanical equipment.
    • Read and understand engineering construction drawings, plans, site plans, and tower drawings.
    • Analyze situations accurately and adopt an appropriate course of action.
    • Follow instructions accurately and complete assigned course of action.
    • Recognize safety hazards and perform duties in a safe manner.
    • Ability to work irregular hours, travel when needed, and work at great heights in extreme weather conditions.
    • Accept and pass needed training for industry compliance.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 1 years of climbing or construction experience is preferred.
    • Ability to pass initial climbing interview.
    • Ability to pass initial and random drug screening, DISA.
    • The ability to climb towers and similar structures in excess of 1,000' with 50 lb. load (harness, hand tools, ropes, rigging, etc.).
    • Adopt and maintain all company policies and safety practices.
    • Willingness to learn new skills, software, and technologies.
    • General Rigging knowledge preferred.
    • Valid Driver’s License.
    • TWIC or clear background to receive one.
    • Transportation to and from work with the ability to arrive to work on time, whatever time the job demands.

    LRC Wireless is looking for someone interested in a long term career in a fast paced environment.

    The Tower Technicians hours are typically 8am-5pm Monday-Friday based out of our office in Lake Charles, LA. However, many jobs dictate an earlier start and later completion time. Occasional weekend work is needed and/or required.

    Hourly starting pay is based upon work experience in the tower industry and/or what LRC feels is relevant to the Tower Department.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
