Radiation Therapy Dosimetrist jobs in Lewiston, ME
Radiation Therapy Dosimetrist calculates computerized isodose plans for radiation oncology patients. Computes standard dose calculations and determines computerized generation of isodose curves for external beam hyperthermia and brachytherapy radiation treatment programs. Being a Radiation Therapy Dosimetrist calculates treatment machine settings, documents calculations, and records treatment data in therapy chart. Interprets physician prescriptions to develop a therapeutic treatment plan. Additionally, Radiation Therapy Dosimetrist typically requires completion of a training program in medical dosimetry and ARRT registration in radiation therapy. Requires a bachelor's degree of physical or biological sciences. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Administrative Support Assistant performs a variety of administrative and clerical functions to support an office and/or multiple teams. Incumbents in the role provide administrative support, including organizing room bookings, answering incoming calls, greeting and directing patients/visitors, filing, preparing routine correspondence, etc. This role requires strong communication and organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
- License/Certifications: N/A
- Experience: Minimum of 12 months' customer service experience required. Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong multi-tasking skills.
- Ability to sort and file accurately.
- Ability to type routine correspondence, forms, reports, etc.
