Being a Radiation Therapy Dosimetrist calculates treatment machine settings, documents calculations, and records treatment data in therapy chart. Interprets physician prescriptions to develop a therapeutic treatment plan. Additionally, Radiation Therapy Dosimetrist typically requires completion of a training program in medical dosimetry and ARRT registration in radiation therapy. The Department of Radiation Oncology is looking for a Radiation Therapist to administer doses of radiation as prescribed by the radiation oncologist for the treatment of disease, utilizing ionizing radiation producing equipment. Operate in a safe and patient focused manner to provide high quality patient care. Work on a highly functional, large team at Michigan Medicine main campus with a requirement for flexibility in job duties per requirements of the team and dependent upon clinic needs. Proficiency in delivering External Beam Radiation Therapy Treatments to cancer patients, as well as experience working in a CT simulator.

General supervision and training is received from the Chief Therapist
