Radiation Technician collects, tests and analyzes materials of nuclear powered electric generating plant. May require an associate's degree or its equivalent with 0-2 years of experience in the field or in a related area. Being a Radiation Technician has knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job. Additionally, Radiation Technician works under immediate supervision. This is a TPD (0.2 Status), day shift Radiation Therapist position in the Radiation Oncology Department.
Provides radiation therapy services by contributing as an essential member of radiation oncology treatment team. Responsible for performing accurate delivery of prescribed radiation therapy under direction of Radiation Oncologist, using a variety of complex techniques and equipment. Shares and coordinates key information with other members of healthcare team. Performs radiation therapy procedures on all patients served to include pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. Participates in on-call rotations.
Minimum Required: Graduate of an accredited school of radiation therapy. Two (2) years of recent radiation experience. Current Montana licensure. Registered in Radiation Therapy by American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT). Must obtain BLS for Healthcare Provider within 90 days of employment.
Preferred / Desired: Prefer three (3) or more years of full time, professional experience as a radiation therapist.
