RFP Analyst develops proposals, bids, quotations, RFP responses, or other documents describing organizational products and services in response to requests from prospective clients. Collaborates and coordinates with internal contributors and subject matter experts to ensure content is complete, accurate, and maximizes business opportunities. Being an RFP Analyst prepares and maintains a repository of templates, standard language, and product collateral or exhibits. May prepare custom response content for complex or unique inquiries. Additionally, RFP Analyst typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The RFP Analyst occasionally directed in several aspects of the work. Gaining exposure to some of the complex tasks within the job function. We are a small, employee-owned defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Services, and Technical Services to government clients in 14 states and the District of Columbia. We need a Systems Analyst ready to join a fast-paced and exciting work environment. 

     Security Clearance:

    • Applicant must hold or be able to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance.

    Responsibilities:

    • Help determine better ways to coordinate and manage large organizations that require the effective use of money, materials, equipment, and people. 
    • Apply analytical methods from mathematics, science, and engineering.
    • May be concerned with diverse issues such as top-level strategy, planning, forecasting, resource allocation, performance measurement, scheduling, the design of production facilities and systems, supply chain management, pricing, transportation and distribution, and the analysis of large databases.
    • Analysts can use any of several techniques, including simulation, linear and nonlinear programming, dynamic programming, queuing and other stochastic-process models, and the analytic hierarchy process.
    • Most techniques involve the construction of mathematical models that attempt to describe the system being studied.
    • The values assigned in models can be altered to examine what may happen to the system under different circumstances.
    • Support engineering analyses and technical assessments

    Experience Requirements:

    • 7 years professional experience in Operations Research
    • Experience in a US Navy program office a definite plus

    Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering Discipline, Mathematics or physics is preferred.
    • Additional Experience may be allowed to substitute for a degree.
