Central Stone Company is seeking a Quarry Rock Driller at our Mill Creek, IL quarry. This is a full-time, hourly position based out of the Hannibal/Quincy area and a great way to begin a rewarding career in drilling. No experience is necessary, though some previous experience would be helpful. We are happy to train the right person -- but we are unable to train in valuing solid attendance, the ability to work well with others, or having a solid foundation of a great work ethic. Travel up to 40 miles around the Quincy area may be required, but travel compensation is provided.

Driller candidate requirements:

• Must be 18 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license
• Safety-focused and willing to work in all types of weather
• Good verbal and written communication skills, including basic math skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and react to urgent operational needs

Driller major responsibilities include:

• Assisting with all aspects of the drilling process including moving equipment to drilling sites
• Handling sampling equipment and providing samples to client
• Assisting with equipment maintenance and repair (including tooling maintenance)
• Maintaining an organized work environment, including drill sites, trucks and drill
• Utilizing safety equipment including fall protection systems
