Quarry Superintendent manages general quarrying and crushing operations and quarry property. Plans for short- and long-term stone production. Being a Quarry Superintendent establishes blasting patterns and general and preventative maintenance programs for the quarry operations. Manages budgets and ensures long-term availability of raw goods for production needs. Additionally, Quarry Superintendent may require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. The Quarry Superintendent typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. To be a Quarry Superintendent typically requires 3+ years of managerial experience. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments. POSITION SUMMARY: Manage the day-to-day production activities of the mine by providing direction and leadership to assigned work group. The Quarry Supervisor serves as a liaison between plant management and the hourly workforce while ensuring that daily / shift goals related to safety, quality and productivity are consistently met. The Quarry Supervisor is also accountable for ensuring that their work team is adequately trained and prepared to perform their tasks in a safe and efficient manner.

Required Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of previous project leader or supervisory experience in a heavy union or non-union fast paced manufacturing, construction, and/or mining/mineral processing environment is required.
Required Education: High School Diploma or GED. A degree in Business, Finance, Engineering or technical related field or equivalent work experience in the field is desired.
