Quality Improvement Director - Healthcare leads and directs process and overall quality improvement activities that produce better patient care and more efficient operations. Develops programs to review and evaluate patient care and outcomes. Being a Quality Improvement Director - Healthcare implements a strategy and plans for a quality improvement function within the facility in collaboration with the administrative and clinical leaders of the hospital. Tracks and presents results of improvement efforts and ongoing measures of clinical processes to management. Additionally, Quality Improvement Director - Healthcare requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to top management. The Quality Improvement Director - Healthcare typically manages through subordinate managers and professionals in larger groups of moderate complexity. Provides input to strategic decisions that affect the functional area of responsibility. May give input into developing the budget. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     Position Information: The Director of Quality Assessment works with the hospital Medical, Nursing, and Ancillary Staff in a consulting and support role to monitor and coordinate quality management activities.


    Days: Monday-Friday, 5 days a week 


    Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm


    What you’ll do:

    • Manage and coordinate process of departmental quality reporting.           
    • Plan and chair monthly meetings of the Quality Assessment Committee.
    • Manage the organization’s patient satisfaction research.
    • Coordinate and assist with the organization’s compliance with regulatory agencies.
    • Complete other duties as assigned.  


    What you bring to the table:

    • Bachelor's degree in a clinical field.
    • Five years of experience in a healthcare setting. 
    • Exposure to quality management projects.
    • Knowledge of QA principles, data collection techniques and analysis.
    • Knowledge of applicable regulatory standards and requirements.

    Typical Working Conditions:

    Well-lighted, well-ventilated office environment.  Subject to numerous interruptions and occasional stressful situations.  Occasional possibility of exposure to hazardous chemical or infectious substances.  Works closely with people in stressful situations.  This list is not exhaustive and may be supplemented.
