Quality Improvement Director - Healthcare leads and directs process and overall quality improvement activities that produce better patient care and more efficient operations. Quality Improvement Initiative Manager

  • Reporting to the Director of Quality Improvement, manage the out-of-school time (OST) Quality Improvement Initiative for Martin and support Palm Beach Counties OST programs; participate in the planning, implementation and coordination of services to targeted school-age afterschool programs; assess program quality, and provide coaching and technical assistance. 

     

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES


    Project Management


    • Plan, coordinate, and manage the Quality Improvement Initiative for the organization;
    • Ensure Initiative needs are met and project scope is delivered as defined in the project charter;
    • Work with afterschool program directors/practitioners to promote understanding of quality and implement skills and strategies to bring about continuous quality improvement;
    • Assess the OST programs for school-age youth for compliance with Prime Time standards;
    • Observe and score QI program activities; prepare comprehensive project reports; make recommendations for program improvement;
    • Provide on-site consultation, technical assistance, and reinforcement of youth development strategies;
    • Develop a program improvement change to action plan with afterschool site stakeholders; maintain documentation of program progress;
    • Support program directors to communicate goals to leadership;
    • Manage self-assessment process and training for all programs entering QIS;
    • Monitor project success and report outcomes; communicate status, progress, issues and barriers to internal and external stakeholders;
    • Provide administrative support for the Initiative.


    Partner Relations


    • Guide the formation, maintenance and development of partnerships with staff and stakeholders;
    • Participate in meetings as requested by OST administrators, directors and staff to offer support in implementing quality afterschool practices;
    • Encourage and maintain interagency collaboration; represent Prime Time at community and inter-agency meetings as assigned;
    • Collaborate with internal staff and external stakeholders to identify quality and program improvement initiatives;
    • Appreciate the value of working with multiple contributors.
    • Foster an environment of trust, competence, teamwork, innovation and mutual respect;

     

    Qualifications

     

    • Strong project management skills;
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities to maximize productivity, efficiency and effectiveness;
    • Proven ability to accurately maintain detailed records; prepare and write comprehensive reports;
    • Demonstrated collaboration skills;
    • Ability to operate with flexibility to changing environments and to respond appropriately to opportunities and challenges;
    • Ability to communicate complex information verbally and in writing to various audiences;
    • Strong organization skills: independently set priorities, develop schedules, and monitor progress toward goals;
    • Ability to develop, execute and monitor project plans;
    • Considerable knowledge of and ability to work in adult learning environment;
    • Proactively identify, analyze and share obstacles to effective performance; incorporate feedback;
    • Knowledge of after school and youth development field;
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (including MS Project or similar) CRM, and other general office technology and tools;
    • Demonstrated problem-solving skills;
    • Bachelor’s degree in education, organization management or related field; plus, three years of professional experience in elementary or middle school afterschool environment. An equivalent combination of education and experience may substitute for these requirements.


    Employee must travel to off-site facilities throughout the community and participate in off-site meetings.  Must have access to transportation on a regular basis to execute successfully on the requirements of the job; must be available during nontraditional work hours.
