Quality Improvement Director - Healthcare leads and directs process and overall quality improvement activities that produce better patient care and more efficient operations. Capable of resolving escalated issues arising from operations and requiring coordination with other departments.     THE OPPORTUNITY:

    Reporting to the General Manager, the Manager of Continuous Improvement & Quality will play a key role in enabling a culture of lean methodology by way of cross-functional partnerships to develop, standardize, and implement initiatives directly impacting key performance indicators (SQDCI) and strategic business objectives. The Manager of Continuous Improvement & Quality will be a core part of the site leadership team. As such, this role will support goal and work alignment across all site functions and will work collaboratively with other sites and corporate manufacturing and operational excellence leaders.

     

    IN THIS ROLE, YOU WILL:

    • Coordinate and track site strategy deployment activities and initiatives in support of meeting Annual Improvement Priorities (AIPs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) specific to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Costs & Inventory.
    • Drive Lean processes such as Standard Work, 5S , Value Stream Mapping, Problem Solving (A3/8D) and Kaizen Principles.
    • Establish plant kaizen roadmap to support the continuous improvement project funnel and facilitate events.
    • Works with site leadership to identify and standardize core business processes & operational plans.
    • Coach and educate team members by creating and facilitating lean daily/weekly/monthly activities.
    • Promotes a learning organization that improves efficiency and reduces variation by way of championing best practice sharing across the company.
    • Prepare, maintain, and implement Quality Control Plans, for production and fulfillment processes, and procedures.
    • Document & maintain customer/supplier quality plans, and coordinate customer/supplier audits as appropriate. Initiate Corrective Actions as needed to ensure quality plans are met.
    • Ensure the QA team have the best equipment to support all inspection tasks, as well as ensuring proper training.

       

      YOU'LL BRING:

      • 4-year degree in Engineering, Business or associated field.
      • Minimum 3 years of demonstrated relevant experience in a similar manufacturing environment.
      • Six Sigma or Lean Certification is a plus.
      • Ability to extract data, analyze and convert to usable information, see trends, and draw out actionable insights.
      • Superior time and project management skills holding ability to plan and organize multiple projects, timelines, and deliverables, as well as hold others accountable.
      • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
      • Ability to coach others through problem-solving methodology
      • Demonstrated ability to work independently, organize and accurately prioritize work, be detail-oriented, understand when urgency is required and use good judgment in varied situations.
