Quality Generalist Manager develops and administers policies and procedures for evaluating and improving the quality of products, materials, components and/or manufacturing processes. Makes recommendations to ensure production runs meet established quality standards and predicted yields. Being a Quality Generalist Manager ensures employees follow established procedures and complete quality assurance work within time and budgetary constraints. May be responsible for ensuring products meet international quality standards such as ISO 9001. Additionally, Quality Generalist Manager works across a variety of quality assurance disciplines. Requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The Quality Generalist Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a Quality Generalist Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. The Shop Foreman will ensure that qualified diesel mechanics perform repairs correctly, efficiently and timely. That the service department maintains a consistently high level of customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities:
- Dispatch technician(s) to mechanical segments that match their skill level to ensure quality.
- Maintain high-quality repairs and minimizes comebacks. Conduct periodic spot checks of completed jobs for thoroughness and quality.
- Recruit, hire, and motivate qualified diesel mechanics.
- Assist mechanics in developing their skills.
- Provide technical support for mechanics when necessary.
- Check the repair progress of each repair order throughout the day.
Qualifications:
- Be prepared for work, the shop is busy!
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience repairing / maintaining class 4- 8 trucks - with solid technical practices.
- Accurate Diagnostic and Troubleshooting skills required.
- Possess a complete set of tools.
- Have strong communication skills with the ability to document repairs accurately and clearly.
- Be adaptable and anxious to meet the needs of our customers in a high-volume, fast- paced environment.
- Work with team members closing, being an educator and motivator.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
