Quality Control Supervisor oversees and monitors the inspection and testing of materials, parts, and products to ensure adherence to established quality standards. Establishes inspection protocols, defines sampling procedures, and determines equipment and mechanisms to be used in the testing process. Being a Quality Control Supervisor recommends changes in specifications of materials, parts, and products based on inspection results. May formulate and revise quality control policies and procedures. Additionally, Quality Control Supervisor, a level I supervisor is considered a working supervisor with little authority for personnel actions. May require a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. Working team member that may validate or coordinate the work of others on a support team. Suggests improvements to process, is a knowledge resource for other team members. Has no authority for staff actions. Generally has a minimum of 2 years experience as an individual contributor.     Description:

    One of the basic responsibilities of a store supervisor is to open or close the store. Opening requires him/her to arrive early, disable the alarm and then get the cash registers and remainder of the store ready for the day’s business. To close the store, he must ensure the customers have all left, balance the registers, clean the store, set the alarm, lock up . The store supervisor will usually delegate many responsibilities to staff, but must still know the entire process from beginning to end , will hold employees accountable to policy and procedure . When customers are less than satisfied, the store supervisor will act as a front-line customer service agent to try and smooth things over. He/she will authorize returns and refunds, deal with general customer complaints and help customers enjoy their experience in the store. Keep communication with Assistant store manager or store team lead about any issues that occur.

     

    Responsibilities:

    • Understands and follows all policies and procedures.
    • Responsible for the oversight of day-to-day activities of subordinates and assigns responsibility for specific work or functional activities as directed by on-site management.
    • Responsible for training of employees.
    • Performs day-to-day assignments in addition to oversight duties.
    • Works with customers to ensure satisfaction in such areas as quality, service and problem resolution.
    • Complies with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures.
    • Participates in regular safety meetings, safety training and hazard assessments.
    • May perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
    • Willingness to be open to learning and growing.
    • Maturity of judgment and behavior.
    • Maintains high standards for work areas and appearance.
    • Maintains a positive attitude.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
    • Must be able to work nights, weekends and some holidays.
    • Presents self in a highly professional manner to others and understands that honesty and ethics are essential.
    • Ability to communicate with co-workers and other departments with professionalism and respect.
    • Accurate cash handling
    • Able to walk/stand/ bend/ stoop throughout shift
    • Ability to work in a standing position for long periods of time
    • Hold staff accountable to policy and procedures be it cash or behavior
    • Report call offs to Assistant Manager/Team Lead
