  • Position Overview:
    The Quality Control/Production Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the adherence to quality, food safety, and esthetic standards of our products. Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer (COO), this position oversees the implementation of processes, monitoring critical control points, and upholding regulatory standards
    such as Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF). The Quality Control Manager leads a team in maintaining product integrity throughout the manufacturing and packaging processes.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for monitoring, and programing critical control points (CCP) to ensure food safety standards are met.
    • Oversee the quality and safety of products throughout manufacturing and packaging processes.
    • Conduct sanitation verification and allergen testing on equipment and designated areas.
    • Responsible for the correct recording and filing of all relevant record logs and documentation.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation pertaining to quality control measures.
    • Manages production schedule.
    • Manages raw material and packaging supplies.
    • Ensures adherence to recipe guidelines during processing.
    • Educate and enforce food safety and SQF standards among employees.
    • Issue disciplinary actions as necessary, following company protocols.
    • Collect product samples for analysis and testing as directed.
    • Perform inspections on products, equipment, and machinery to identify potential issues.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address quality concerns and implement improvements.

    Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in Quality Control within the food manufacturing industry.
    • Must have at least a B.S. Degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field.
    • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Demonstrated leadership abilities and self-motivation.
    • Able to lift to 25 lbs and work in a physically demanding environment.
    • Previous experience in food manufacturing environment preferred.
    • Bilingual - English/Spanish is advantageous.
    • Must be able to work in a team environment.
    • Strong teamwork skills and a positive attitude.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment, effectively managing deadlines and pressure.

    The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.     Physical Demands of the Quality Control Manager:
    The role requires regular standing and walking throughout the production shifts, occasional sitting, climbing, balancing, kneeling, or crouching. The ability to occasionally lift to 25 pounds is necessary.

    Pay: $105,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
