    Position Overview


    The Quality Control manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing all quality control systems to ensure continuous production that meets CSI and CSI customer standards. While supervising a team of QC inspectors and technicians they will ensure a consistent and quality product that meets established standards. They will provide inspection, testing services and documentation of product for plant facilities. This position is also responsible for evaluating data necessary for adjustments to mix production to ensure compliance for all applications and projects along with overseeing the QC department. 


    Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

    • Manage CSI QC Program
    • Manage IDOT QC Program
    • Coordinate, Monitor and Report QC Plant Testing
    • Coordinate, Monitor and Report QC Field Testing
    • Manage QC Information including Cylinder Test Reports
    • Manage Mix Design
    • Manage Submittal Process
    • Anticipate and propose weather related mix adjustments
    • Manage Concrete Pours
    • Perform QC Inspections, Equipment, Materials and Process
    • Manage QC Procedure and insure they are being carried out
    • Put together quotes for Manager review & send out quotes
    • Take offs

    Education/Experience

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.
    • Construction Engineering Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
    • Must obtain and maintain DOT certifications required to test materials as required by state regulations.

    Knowledge/Skill Requirements

    • Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
    • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved concrete projects and can use such tools properly and safely.
    • Ability to read, write, and accurately perform basic mathematical functions including adding, subtracting, multiplication and division.
    • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Must possess knowledge of Company policies and procedures, including safety.
    • Must consistently produce and efficient, accurate work product.

    Work Requirements

    • Must be at least 18 years in age or older. 
    • Must have a current and valid driver’s license.
    • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
    • Must pass post-offer employment drug testing, medical exams, and physical agilities testing.
    • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers and/or supervisors with other duties as required.
    • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
    • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
    • Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA.
