General Summary
Plans, coordinates, and directs the quality assurance program designed to ensure continuous production of products consistent with established standards. Works closely with department staff, operations leads and floor staff to ensure quality standards are understood and adhered to. Drives improvements in all Quality related matters, including in-process inspection, first pass yield, vendor quality, internal corrective action, customer returns, and set-up scrap. Fosters a team philosophy and is a change agent. Develops and implements KPIs and metrics which monitor the performance of the Quality System and takes action when targets are missed.

Ability to read, comprehend, analyze and interpret scientific and technical journals, instructions, contracts, correspondence and memos. Ability to write technical correspondence professionally and without error. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees and managers of the organization in a professional manner utilizing proper English. The ability to articulate, interpret and convey technical information.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts and percentages and to apply concepts of advanced algebra. Ability to apply mathematical skills related to process capabilities (cp, cpk) and to report metric trends by utilizing spreadsheets and databases and creating charts and graphs. Ability to understand and interpret financial reports.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply both common sense and critical thinking and analysis to solve problems and develop corrective actions. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete and abstract variables in complex, non-standard situations.
