Description

The Quality Control Manager is responsible for ensuring that our precast concrete structures meet specifications and the highest quality standard achievable.

Essential Functions:

• Oversee all Quality Control Technicians.
• Oversee all Quality Control Technician duties.
• Maintain all plant NPCA certifications.
• Establish and expand company QA/QC policies.
• Track corrections made to product each day and report results to management at the end of each week; report immediately as needed.
• Report daily concrete testing results to management
• Review product drawings and make recommendations prior to form production as needed.
• Make repair recommendations for products as needed.
• Make sound decisions on minor quality issues.
• Generate any and all safety reports as needed.
• Act as the liaison between Knight’s Safety and Knight’s Precast.
• Know and assist the Plant Management team with the enforcement of company policies and procedures.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years' experience in construction is required.
• Prior Quality Control experience in manufacturing is required.
• 2 years' experience in a precast concrete production shop is preferred.
• ACI and NPCA Certifications (or the ability to obtain).
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to problem solve.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to safely lift a minimum of 50 lbs.
• Ability to work in extreme weather, including but not limited to high heat, low temperature, and high sun environments.
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to climb and descend stairs.
• Ability to perform direct keyboard entry operations for regular periods of time.
