Quality Control Inspector jobs in Roanoke, VA

EvolutionHR is currently looking for a Quality Inspector in Roanoke, VA. The Quality Inspector will be responsible for ensuring manufactured products meet customer requirements, military/government, and industry standards. The Quality Inspector will also be responsible for reading blueprints and instructions to comprehend the quality expectation for the product and supplies.

Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector:

• Ensure product has been manufactured to meet requirements; identify defects and problems resulting from the production process
• Select output samples and check them using appropriate methods such as measuring dimensions, testing functionality, comparing to specifications, etc.
• Monitor the use of equipment to ensure it is safe and well-maintained and discard any that do not meet requirements
• Use automated systems to perform complex testing procedures
• Complete detailed documentation and reports of all inspection activities in accordance with client policy and customer specified requirements
• Evaluate data to validate compliance or identify deviations from existing standards
• Frequent communication via voice, email or written reports

• High school degree or equivalent
• Three or more years in a Quality Assurance/Control Inspection role preferred
• Effective interpersonal, communication and teamwork skills
• A Keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach
• Ability to solve problems with minimal direction or supervision
• Thorough knowledge of quality control standards and testing methodologies such as ISO 9001 and MIL-STD requirements
• Sufficient manual dexterity for handling small fiber optic products, tools, and instruments
• Selected candidate must pass drug screen and background requirements prior to starting this position

• Hourly pay rate: $15.00
• First Shift : Monday – Friday, 8am-5pm
• Third Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6pm-6am
