Job Scope and Skill Set:

The Quality Control Inspector is responsible to follow inspection plans, inspect and test parts at various stages of production and maintains quality records/documents; working at the direction of the Quality Engineer. Participates in the Corrective Action process. Daily distribution and collection of all inspection tools to and from operators, ensure the working condition of the tools. Prepare quality records and documentation for review by the Quality Engineer. Notify and collaborate with Quality Engineer when out-of-tolerance conditions occur, to determine immediate corrective action(s).

Duties and Areas of Responsibility:

• • Provides necessary Quality documents to Production personnel (Prints, Quality Plans, Forms, etc.)
  • Notifies the Quality Engineer of Quality issues and makes recommendations on possible improvements.
  • Reads and interprets engineering drawings, and Quality plans.
  • Inspects products for variety of qualities, including dimensions, finishes, using micrometers, vernier calipers, height gauges, fixtures and CMM.
  • CMM operation and programming, PC DMIS System

• • Performs FAI, In-Process and Final inspections at the direction of the Quality Engineer.
  • Participates in Corrective Actions.
  • Confirms that operators and set-up personnel have the inspection tools required for the operation being performed.
  • Calibrates metrology equipment and maintains calibration records.
  • Participates in Internal Quality Audits and Vendor Audits in conjunction with the Quality Engineer.
  • Stay current with industry trends, technical developments and best practices.
  • Follow and support all applicable ISO9001 & AS9100 standards and procedures.
