    Summary

    Plans activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for light modular processes, materials, and products by performing the following duties.

     

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities

    • Interprets Electrical, Fire Detection, and Telecom engineered drawings, modular shop drawings, and mechanical drawings. Confers with management or engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards.
    • Progressively inspect modular camp units during the installation phase including framing, architectural, and mechanical systems to ensure conformance with engineered drawings and project quality standards.
    • Records test data, applying statistical quality control procedures.
    • Evaluates data and writes reports to validate or indicate deviations from existing standards.
    • Recommends modifications of existing quality or production standards to achieve optimum quality within limits of equipment capability.
    • Recording of testing data, interpretation of results per project quality standards, and electronic input for project turnover.
    • Interfaces with procurement, supervision, and management to coordinate and resolve quality-related issues/concerns.
    • Provide guidance to workers on Company and Project quality requirements.
    • Maintain a working knowledge of the latest codes.
    • Other duties as assigned.
    • This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Requirements

    • High School Diploma or GED equivalent or ten (10) years directly related experience will be considered.
    • Minimum five (5) years’ experience as a licensed Journeyman Electrician.
    • Current Alaska Electrical Journeyman Fitness License.
    • Driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and reliable transportation.

The employee is occasionally required to use hands to handle or feel and climb or balance. Steel toed boots required on the job.
