Summary: Epsilon Systems Solutions is currently seeking a contingent full time Senior Engineer: Quality Assurance Specialist in Norfolk, VA. In support of the RMC Enterprise, CNRMC support personnel will perform/support tasks that require an advanced level of knowledge in Surface Ship Repair and Modernization requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Prepare and implement quality assurance policies and procedures.
Ensure that standards and safety regulations are observed.
Perform routine inspections and quality tests.
Serve as the RMC Enterprise Project Team QA SME. Lead the delivery of CNRMC WFD PT Specific courses IAW developed curricula across the RMC Enterprise as required by the CNRMC WFD LRTP. Lead instructors are expected to adapt instructional strategies to meet student needs using a variety of instructional strategies to meet different learning styles.
In-Process Quality Assurance (QA), Evaluation of shipboard Major Fire Drills, and Underwater Ships Husbandry maintenance programs ensuring maintenance, repair and modernization actions are accomplished per regulation
Track suspense actions, perform quality control in support of all programs of record, and prepare reports, Navy instructions, briefs and other special documents.
Provide Quality Assurance support including but not limited to Contract Administration Quality Assurance Program (CAQAP), Welding, and I-Level quality.
Conduct comprehensive reviews of current Conventional Surface Ship Maintenance Directives as requested and provide consolidated reports to include a comprehensive quality strategy.
Develop and provide recommended metrics to measure effectiveness of quality-related improvements to support CNRMC implementation of standardized maintenance processes, and common policies to sustain consistent business models across all RMCs.
Required Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Minimum 10 years’ experience with Navy Surface Ship Repair and Modernization and Regional Maintenance Center Project Team Roles and Responsibilities
Sound interpersonal skills needed to interface, coordinate with company personnel, customers, and outside contacts
Exceptional organization skills with high attention to detail.
Advanced time management and analytical skills.
Excellent written and oral communication.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with firm-specific programs and software.
Pursuant to the various government contractual requirements, all applicants must be U.S. Citizens.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Minimum 15 years’ experience with Navy Surface Ship Repair and Modernization and Regional Maintenance Center Project Team Roles and Responsibilities
15 Years' Experience with COMUSFLTFORCOM INST 4790.3, Joint Fleet Maintenance Manual (JFMM); 15 Years' Experience with Navy Maintenance Database (NMD); 1 5 Years' Experience with NAVSEA Contracting Policy/Strategy; 15 Years' Experience with Regional Maintenance Center (RMC) Project Team Roles/ Responsibilities; 15 Years' Experience with NAVSEA Standard Items (NSI)
Preferred Certifications:
Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygenist (CIH)
Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM)
ADA Notations:
Regular communication (hearing/speaking).
Noise conditions range from very quiet to very noisy.
Prolonged use of computer (typing/keyboarding).
Frequently required to sit for long periods of time, stand, and walk.
