    As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will support the definition and implementation of actions to improve safety, operating efficiency, quality, and productivity in the value chain, to improve customer satisfaction and increase profitability in a safe working environment within the local business. In this role you will be leading certification audits (ISO) as well as Customer audits on site.

    This position reports to

    Quality Manager

    Your responsibilities

    • Promote and support the deployment of the local Quality and Operational Excellence (Q&OpEx) strategy to accelerate the rate of operational improvement, with resulting cost savings within the operation.
    • Establish and implement Q&OpEx priorities and targets in cooperation with functional team members across all functions within the local operation, monitor progress and support actions on deviations from targets.
    • Train and coach local teams in the standard quality improvement approach (i.e. 4Q) to develop organization capability to continuously improve business practices and performance.
    • Conduct benchmarking and best practice spreading within the operations to embed a culture of excellence in operational performance.
    • Assist with the creation and implementation of, and ensure conformance with, instructions, guidelines and procedures to drive standardization and consistent execution in delivery of customer requirements.
    • Assist with the analysis and communication of customer perceptions to guide the local improvement actions toward greater customer satisfaction.
    • Up to 10% domestic travel may be required, limited international possibly
    Your background

    • Bachelor's degree in Engineering
    • Minimum 2 years previous experience in quality assurance or similar quality role.
    • Experience in ISO 9001 certification, ISO14001, 45001 and 50001 area plus.
    • SAP experience a plus
    • Previous experience in CAPA is required.
    • Great communication skills and diplomacy to deal with our customers and system auditors.
    • The ideal candidate should have at least a basic knowledge of 2 of the following principles and should be able to elaborate the concepts: lean manufacturing, 5 S, 8D reports, CAPA, PPAP;
    • Preferred Requirements:
    • Green Belt (lean six sigma) certification
    • Master's degree in business or Engineering fields
    • Previous experience in Electrical product manufacturing units
    • ISO 9001 auditor certification
    • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.
