GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION |
The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the daily documentation of services delivered by direct care staff. This position reviews the daily notes to ensure that they meet funding source and Medicaid standards and reviews participant payroll for completeness and accuracy of hours worked. Must have the ability to interface with staff internally to troubleshoot issues related to progress notes and payroll. |
QUALIFICATIONS |
Required: Associate's degree or a combination of education and work experience. Other: Demonstrated knowledge of databases and software to complete assigned tasks timely and to standard. Interpersonal skills sufficient to establish and maintain productive relationships that emphasize a customer focus as well as communicate effectively with Job Coaches, Management, employers and public. Writing, reasoning and math skills sufficient to complete required documentation and calculations. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Utilize Agency database (DARTS) to enter, update, retrieve and analyze data which includes editing queries as appropriate to generate required reports. Monitor Agency database (DARTS) on a daily basis for attendance, progress notes and payroll for all scheduled participants in Medicaid billable mental health services for completeness and accuracy. Send detailed emails to staff daily indicating corrections needed. Follow up to ensure that the corrections are completed. In conjunction with the Billing Management Specialists, inform supervisors of the mental health programs of missing and/or incorrect information to ensure all billable services are captured. Develop, implement and modify systems that accurately record participant work performance. Ensure that staff assigned to community sites implement and record work output per worker in compliance with Department of Labor requirements, funding source and Medicaid requirements. Provide and/or ensure that the Accounting Department receives necessary documentation for accurate worker pay in a timely fashion. Ability to train staff in Agency database (DARTS) as requested by Director, Data and Office Management. Serve on Agency committee(s) as assigned. |
