What it's like to be a Quality Assurance Specialist at A to Z Machine?

The Quality Assurance Specialist is a member of the Quality Assurance team. The primary duties of this position are to develop quality assurance plans and documentation for parts being supplied to our customers. This most often takes the form of PPAP's or other formal quality documentation methods. Within A to Z's role as a Tier 1 supplier the Quality Assurance Specialist will be working with supply chain partners and coordinating quality assurance and documentation activities throughout the supply chain. This position will also assist Purchasing in resolving supplier quality issues and working with operations to train operators on proper inspection techniques and documentation, as well as continually improving the quality of parts being manufactured. This position will also lead and/or participate as part of quality problem solving teams using 8D or other problem-solving techniques.

To excel as a Quality Assurance Specialist at A to Z Machine Company, you will need a strong skill set to drive quality and continuous improvement in our CNC machining Production facility operations. Essential qualifications for this role include significant experience with Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), along with a working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 standards. The ideal candidate will also be highly detail oriented, an excellent coordinator and communicator with experience in directly engaging with external customers and suppliers. A minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in inspection, quality management, or quality leadership within a machine shop is required to succeed in this position.
