About the role: Performs quality checks during harvesting and packing processes to ensure that the product is meeting quality standards.
Job Title: QA Clerk
Business Unit: Quality Assurance
Location: Loudon, TN
Work Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday. Generally, scheduled to work from 6:00 am to 3:00 p.m.
Type of Position: Full-Time
FLSA Status: Hourly
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Train to complete daily monitoring procedures in Harvesting through picker basket evaluations.
- Train to complete daily monitoring procedures in Packing by completing in-process QC checks.
- Train to complete Packing pre-operational inspection and record deficiencies.
- Train to complete product shelf-life evaluations and product density testing.
- Train to complete incoming purchased product inspections.
- Learn about ensuring proper testing and documentation of product evaluations, metal detectors, weight control devices, environmental monitoring, and sanitation procedures.
- Perform all requirements of sanitation HACCP and GMP standards.
- Assist with entering monitoring data from Harvesting and Packing into department tracking spreadsheets.
- Notify Packing and/or QA Manager of GMP or food safety issues.
- Always observe and practice safety procedures. Be safety conscious.
- Correct or notify the supervisor of safety hazards. In the event of an accident, notify the supervisor immediately.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Required:
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- GED or High School Diploma.
- On-the-Job Training provided.
- Computer experience required, including Word and Excel.
- Ability to work with employees and provide instructions on quality standards, GMP requirements.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (highly preferred)
