    Sunrise Services is a social services agency that focuses on providing for the unmet needs of vulnerable individuals in our community. We provide caregiving services, mental health resources, vocational services, and much more! Our work is dedicated to serving those who are elderly, disabled, or have mental health challenges.


    The Quality Assurance Specialist is responsible for providing training, support and oversight for the CLF and PC teams along with directly assisting the Quality Assurance Program Manager. The Quality Assurance Specialist assists in the internal auditing process to ensure all internal and external requirements are being met; as dictated by applicable laws and regulations. Assist in the analysis of processes and procedures for quality assurance. Assist in the implementation of process change. Report findings and recommendations to supervisor. The QAS is responsible for the intake and initial services to new clients in the SL program.


    Duties & Responsibilities:
    In coordination with the Quality Assurance Program Manager, this position will:

    • Assist the Quality Assurance Program Manager.
    • Engage in quality assurance protocols with client’s monthly documentation
    • Under the direction of the Quality Assurance Program Manager, create and update staff site notebooks and emergency procedures.
    • Implement and create documentation systems for incoming binders (i.e. build new client binders).
    • Perform site, files, service plan audits for quality assurance
    • 10-15 hours per week dedicated to site QAs.
    • Monitor and report all operations that affect quality.
    • Assure compliance and quality by checking processes and output.
    • Facilitate proactive solutions by collecting and analyzing data.
    • Internal audits and documentation.
    • Maintain files as requested.
    • Act as backup for providing investigation materials for external audits
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    In coordination with the SL Director and Quality Assurance Program Manager, this position will:

    • Create and present weekly reports and tracking of client referrals, available housing options, and factors and concerns regarding continued program growth to the SL Director.
    • Review and begin the selection process for new clients; coordinating efforts with the Director, Supported Living work groups and the DDA to determine if new client referrals match available housing and services.
    • Develop consistent plans, check lists, processes and tools to be used for identifying, onboarding and serving new clients.
    • Support stable housing efforts across the team. Partner with landlords, housing authorities and resource providers to secure and retain client housing.
    • Coordinate efforts with Training, Staffing, QA, Medical, and Behavioral work groups to ensure clients have adequate and well-trained staff in place to serve them.
    • Model a positive, proactive and priority-focused communication style which encourages collaboration and allows space for all voices to be heard, with the goal of improving the quality of life of our team and our clients.
    • Supervise or assist in the supervision of the training and day to day work of DSPs who work directly with new clients.
    • Facilitate the services of a growing caseload of new clients, ensuring they have dignity and respect and can live their best lives.
    • Identify training needs and recommend training interventions to meet WAC requirements.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Requirements: (Any Equivalent Combination of Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education, and Experience)

    • Education: Bachelor’s degree in a field related to developmental disabilities preferred and at least 3 years’ experience working with clients with developmental disabilities.
    • Experience: Prefer experience working with clients with developmental disabilities. Supervisory experience preferred. 
    • Licensure/Certification: First Aid and CPR certifications, NAR within 30 days after hire. Current valid Washington Driver’s License.
    • Other Considerations:
    • At least 21 years of age.
    • Must have a current Valid Washington State Driver’s License and must have and maintain a driving record that meets company driving requirements and policy.
    • $50,000 automobile liability insurance.
    • DSHS background clearance required.
    • Skill with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Access and Outlook. Ability to learn scheduling and employee-database software.

    Compensation:

    • $23 - $26 Depending on Experience
    • Wages are determined by applicable industry experience, education, and certifications/licensure.
