Quality Assurance Nurse evaluates the quality of patient care. Monitors compliance with current laws, process improvements, and implementation of clinical best practices. Being a Quality Assurance Nurse reviews and analyzes customer complaints. May need to help train staff on new or improved clinical practices. Additionally, Quality Assurance Nurse requires an associate's degree/bachelor's degree and is licensed to practice nursing. Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department. As a Corporate Quality Assurance Nurse in a Grace Management Services facility you must be able to perform the following essential functions as demonstrated by the ability to:
Essential Job Functions:
Implement quality assurance policy accurately and consistently.
Adhere to quality assurance schedule as assigned by the Quality Assurance Director.
Collect and analyze quality assurance data in a timely manner.
Report all facility concerns to Facility Administrator including, but not limited to: personnel & care.
Analyze all quality assurance data collected and report confirmed concerns to the Facility Administrator and the Quality
Assurance Director.
Assist with completing annual Mock Survey prior to the facility survey window opening to ensure preparedness for annual surveys.
Participate in facility educational programs. Prepare and conduct facility education when appropriate.
Monitor facility compliance with resident rights.
Monitor facility compliance with state, federal and local regulations.
Identify safety hazards and report immediately to administration.
Review resident care activities, identify concerns and report to facility administration.
Assume personal responsibility for obtaining education relating to long-term care and quality assessment.
Attend all weekly and monthly meetings as assigned.
Perform other duties as assigned.
