QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER is responsible for the implementation of policies and procedures to ensure adherence to production quality standards. Monitors and audits process, material, and product testing against established standards and conducts a continuous analysis of quality defects and deviations. Being a QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER identifies deficiencies or gaps in testing activities and develops solutions to ensure adequate and robust quality processes. Optimizes processes to comply with existing and new regulatory requirements. Additionally, QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a director. The QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required. AGI Clay Center is an agricultural industry leader specialized in engineering and manufacturing portable and stationary grain handling equipment including augers, chain and paddle conveyors, belt conveyors, loop systems, bin unloads, and custom augers.

    The Opportunity:

    This position will inspect production units in various stages of production to ensure performance with standards and conduct a walk-through inspection of all production areas to verify correct features of units in production. The Quality Assurance auditor will also complete calibration activities and all required records and reports. Maintain ISO Certification and execution of criteria.

    Responsibilities:

    • Inspects products using gauges, visual acuity, scales, etc.
    • Generates spreadsheets for data collection and completes required paperwork.
    • Reconciles final inspection documentation for shipments.
    • Understands customer specifications, codes, and standards.
    • Addresses all non-conformance quality issues on a timely basis to maintain production.
    • Addresses special requests regarding quality from customers and third-party inspectors.
    • Follow company safety rules in accordance with OSHA regulations such as: Wearing (PPE) safety shoes, goggles, ear plugs. Ensure that the area complies with all OSHA standards.
    • Follow all aspects of the company’s 5S and Preventive Maintenance programs (PM’s). Check daily to ensure that employees are following the programs, and that they are filling out the proper documentation.
    • Work with leads to handle quality issues and provide training.
    • Work individually or in teams to complete work. Lead team projects of various size.
    • Must be able to read and interpret drawings, follow routers, use simple math, and use basic hand-held measuring tools.
    • Focus on Lean Manufacturing, ISO Certification, and inventory control.
    • Safety Compliance
    • Conduct Audits and implement corrective action items per Quality process.
    • Responsible for Quality of teammates production
    • Identify department quality opportunities.

    What we are looking for:

    • High School Diploma / GED required; Associates/Technical Degree preferred.
    • Minimum: 1 plus years of experience in quality control, 1-3 Years manufacturing/production. (Or an equivalent of experience and education.)
    • ISO Certification – business policies and procedures
    • Knowledge of welding and metal fabrication processes (generally gained with manufacturing experience)
    • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
    • 5S Awareness
    • General Manufacturing Knowledge
    • Intermediate level - Windows, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
    • Experience with ERP and training software, M2M and OHT preferred.
