Quality Assurance Engineering Supervisor supervises inspections of raw materials, materials in process, and finished products. Assists in the development of quality standards and protocols for quality assurance testing models. Being a Quality Assurance Engineering Supervisor designs and implements policies and procedures for testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or equipment. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Quality Assurance Engineering Supervisor typically reports to a manager. The Quality Assurance Engineering Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. Responsibilities
Knowledge or ability to interpret industry specifications, blueprints, internal procedures, and customer requirements to develop and manage effective quality assurance processes.
Knowledge of Quality Assurance Measuring and Test Equipment (M&TE) types and functions.
Knowledge of Mechanical Testing (Tensile, Shear, Hydrogen Embrittlement, Metallurgy and Dimensional Inspection and Testing.
Create and manage Inspection and Test plans, methods, and requirements.
Manage new hire and employee job specific required training.
Support calibration efforts by identifying needs for M&TE, defective and out of calibration items.
Oversee and support the certification of production lots.
Organize and support execution of daily jobs through the required testing processes.
Review specifications for products or processes and identify changes needed to internal lab processes.
Manage and maintain all internal Quality Assurance Procedures.
Supervise inspectors, technicians and other staff and provide guidance and feedback.
Support staff during absences.
Manage staff payroll and bonuses.
Keep accurate documentation and proper record retention.
Manage MRB and Nonconformance Systems.
Be on the lookout for opportunities for improvement and develop new efficient procedures.
Support Director with internal audits, external audit preparation and lab continuous improvement opportunities.

Skills
Proven experience as quality leader in a fast-paced manufacturing company.
Proven experience running Quality Assurance testing facility
Solid experience in conflict resolution and problem solving.
Must be conscientious and dependable.
Must be initiative-taking and independent.
A keen eye for detail and a result driven approach to management.
Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal).
Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
Proficient in MS Office.
In-depth understanding of developing, maintaining, and editing quality assurance procedures and specifications.
Ability to read and understand prints.
Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods.
Understanding of AS9100/ ISO 9001-2015 and NADCAP requirements or have the willingness to learn.
ASQ Certifications are desired.
Internal or Lead Auditor certification is desired.
