Quality Assurance Engineering Supervisor supervises inspections of raw materials, materials in process, and finished products. Assists in the development of quality standards and protocols for quality assurance testing models. Being a Quality Assurance Engineering Supervisor designs and implements policies and procedures for testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and/or equipment. Requires a bachelor's degree. Additionally, Quality Assurance Engineering Supervisor typically reports to a manager. The Quality Assurance Engineering Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. Thorough knowledge of department processes. Key Job Elements
- Responsible for leading QA team on daily basis;
- Troubleshoot issues and provide recommendations for resolutions;
- Manage QMS to ensure facility and operations comply to standards;
- Monitor daily QMS operations and communicate with key stakeholders regarding quality;
- Work with design team to implement corrective actions and improve process and overall product;
- Coordinate with supplier team to manage quality and responsible for vendor communication;
- Work with program teams to complete product launches on schedule;
- Regular interaction with customer and maintain customer issues logs;
- Contribute and assist in the development of Quality Control plan;
- Understanding of ISO 9001 standards and practices.
Education / Training
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field;
- Master’s degree preferred.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5 years’ experience managing a QMS;
- Experience in auditing and equipment inspection preferred;
- Experience with manufacturing and production processes and principles;
- Experience problem solving in a manufacturing environment;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Experience working with internal and external customers;
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft office applications;
- Statistical analysis and quality assurance skills.
