Mountain View Hospital is looking for a Nurse Residency Supervisor/Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team!
JOB SUMMARY:
Plans, implements, supervises, and evaluates the Nurse Residency Program. Assesses, develops, implements, facilitates and evaluates the residency educational and development programs. Integrates the program into existing institutional strategies for nurse graduate recruitment and retention. Implements and oversees an evidence based curriculum that focuses on patient outcomes, leadership in the management of patient care, and the professional role of the nurse. Coordinates small program(s) with limited budget/impact. Works collaboratively with unit-specific educators, department managers, clinical nurse specialists, the DON, and the quality assurance team with assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating educational activities for all staff; specifically focusing on nursing and clinical departments. Assists with the Mountain View Hospital AHA Training Center and oversees competency programs with the Mountain View hospital’s mission and strategic goals. The roles of the Residency supervisor/Quality specialist includes: facilitator, change agent, collaborator, advisor, mentor, consultant, researcher, leader, clinic liaison, and security liaison and training.

Education/Certification: Graduate of an accredited RN program. Current RN licensure in the state of Idaho. Current BLS, ACLS, PALS. Successful completion of BLS, ACLS, and PALS instructor class within 6 months of hire. MSN preferred but not required. Other certifications preferred but not required.
Experience: five or more years’ experience as a nurse, computer skills, education/instructor experience
Equipment/Technology: Microsoft Office Suite, Education equipment
Language/Communication: English
