Quality Assurance Engineering Manager manages inspections of raw materials, equipment, processes, and finished products. Implements quality standards and protocols for quality assurance testing models. In this role, the candidate will be the site quality representative internally to management, employees and externally to our customers and vendors. The candidate will have the lead responsibility for the QMS recognizing that everyone in the site is responsible for helping ensure quality. The candidate needs to have a good understanding of the technologies involved in the design, manufacture and test of the sites products. The candidate should have experience with how an effective Quality Management System can ensure quality in our products and positively impact achieving the sites business goals. The Quality manager works with others on the site leadership team to prepare the annual budget and achieve performance goals driving to customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities/Principal Duties:
Education / Work Experience
BS in Engineering
Six Sigma Green Belt required
Six Sigma Black Belt strongly preferred
Minimum 7 years of increasing responsibilities in a manufacturing environment (preferably in extrusion, textile or paper)
CQM or CQE through ASQ highly desirable
Experience in statistical methods, including SPC, capability studies, etc.
Excellent communications skills
