Duties/Qualifications:
- A strong grasp of quality engineering practices in aerospace manufacturing
- Integrity and a self-starter attitude
- Excellent communication skills for leadership, customer interactions, and collaboration
- Ability to prioritize tasks and take action with a strong bias for action
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting specifications and drawings, using inspection tooling, and understanding tooling calibration
- Experience in initiating and implementing corrective actions, including 5 Whys, containment, root cause corrective actions, and tracking and trending
- Support in final inspections, processes, and first articles
- A team player who can engage with cross-functional teams and leadership
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Adaptability to organizational changes and ability to work in a diverse environment
- Willingness to work overtime and with self-directed teams
- Proven ability to implement process improvements and train others as needed
- Effective written skills with an objective, fact-based approach
- Willingness to train in AS9100 auditing
- Understanding of internal and external OTTD/PPM and ability to coordinate monthly reporting to customers
- Experience with MRB (Material Review Board) processes and customer portals
- Strong conflict management skills
Desirable Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- AS9100 internal/external auditing certification
- Training in AS9100 QMS
- Experience in contract review
- Manufacturing experience, particularly with Honeywell, Boeing, BAE, DLA, etc.
- Experience in components inspection
- Knowledge of statistical process control and special processes
- Ability to support new customer processes and understand process controls
- Familiarity with process flow management
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and/or extensive experience in Aerospace Quality Assurance meeting Aerospace regulations in AS9100
- Minimum 3 to 5 years of practical Quality FAI
- 1-4 years of customer experience in handling complaints
- Current ASQ, CQA, or CQE certification is desirable but not required
