Quality Assurance Engineer jobs in Columbia, MO

Inventory Sales, an EFC International company, is looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer to join the team at our Affton, MO location. They will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and directing a quality assurance program designed to ensure of the products supplied are consistent with established standards. The ability to work from blueprints, part prints, and drawings, along with excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively, are essential.

This position is 100% on site.

· Formulates and maintains quality objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals.

· Interprets quality philosophy to key personnel in organization.

· Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.

· Plans and oversees the analysis, inspection, and/or testing to assure the quality of assigned product or component.

· Assists in completion of customer surveys/ assessments and leads all activities related to customer on site assessments.

· Reviews all data obtained during all quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.

· Develops new approaches to solve problems identified during quality activities.

· Prepares and presents Quality Assurance performance information to the management team.

· Maintains a working knowledge of government and industry quality codes and standards.

· Plays active role on quality management teams within organization.

· Investigates and respond to customer complaints regarding quality.

· Plan, develop, maintain and report on all activities related to Quality Management System, including internal, and third-party audits, including such things as ISO certifications.

· Possesses and follows behavioral competencies and necessary skills to achieve overall company desired results and expectations.

Education/Experience:

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Engineering degree is preferred.

Engineering Skills:

An individual should have a strong background in reading and interpreting blueprint drawings. Metallurgical knowledge and experience with aluminum, steel, and stainless-steel fasteners, castings, extrusions, forgings, and machined parts and their testing methods is preferred.

Computer Skills:

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have strong background in Microsoft Office Products Word and Excel. In addition, individual should have strong background Quality management Systems; ISO 9001 or equivalent. Working knowledge of or proficiency with ERP systems (P21), SolidWorks, CMMs, or optical comparators is preferred.
