Maintains strategic supplier relationships, negotiates pricing, monitors performance, and expedites to respond to changes in demand or disruptions in the supply chain. Being a Purchasing Supervisor collaborates with other functions to meet current and future inventory requirements and manage inventory levels. Utilizes technical tools to analyze data and increase responsiveness to material demands. Additionally, Purchasing Supervisor performs auditing processes to ensure procurement and recordkeeping comply with any applicable industry or governmental regulations. Typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Purchasing Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate: Dedication to the purchasing team's procurement strategies.
Communicate: Consistently survey and communicate product availability details to our sales and construction teams.
Accuracy: Update builder software to ensure take-offs are accurate and pricing is correct. Maintain updated pricing in the software.
Trade Partner Relations: Develop and optimize trade partner relationships. Prospect and acquire new Trade Partner accounts. Manage Trade Partner contact lists. Ensure insurance coverage of Trade Partners.
Execute Purchase Orders.
