The Purchasing Manager position is a critical upper-level leadership and management role, responsible for the overall purchasing and coordination of packaging, ingredients and raw materials for Go Chicken Go, Inc. a fast casual restaurant chain. These areas of responsibility include but are not limited to negotiating contracts, purchasing, and vendor management of all Go Chicken Go packaging, ingredients, and raw material needs. The Purchasing Manager will report directly to the President but will ultimately have responsibility for all purchasing for Go Chicken Go, Inc. operations.
Responsibility for purchasing should be understood to include oversight and management of all pricing structures, formulas, and margins to determine the most favorable result for GCG operations. Must have a strong understanding of market conditions and trends. Must have a working knowledge of effective negotiation techniques per industry. This ultimately includes execution of all purchasing, contract execution, supervision of supply chain and inventory management.
The Purchasing Manager will report to the President of Go Chicken Go.
Key Functions:
Managing the analysis of commodities as well as buying and contract negotiation on all proteins and deli meats, grains, doughs, batters and breads, oil, dairy, and miscellaneous grocery.
Duties/Responsibilities:

- Responsible for the marketing & sale of used cooking oil
- Coordinate the provision of all necessary ingredients, raw material, and packaging to produce required products
- Provide weekly/monthly requirements of packaging, ingredients, and raw materials
- Coordinate the supply of foods and raw materials to each GCG location
- Negotiate contracts in the most favorable terms for GCG
- Create and execute allocation of daily and weekly sales orders
- Schedule weekly transport plans for the collection/delivery of raw materials
- Audit invoices for pricing and quantities delivered
- Monitor and amend Transport Plan as necessary and communicate to Operations
- Schedule orders for packaging, ingredients, and raw materials
- Optimize and control inventory levels of all ingredients, packaging, and raw materials
- Coordinate schedule amendments arising out of variances to forecasts or orders
- Coordinate with Operations, Finance, and management team on a regular basis
- Research of new products and implementation at store level
- Evaluate and recognize Industry trends
- Develop and nurture new vendor relationships
- Undertake special assignments in relation to inventory management, procurement, product distribution and other related areas
Education and Experience:
- MUST HAVE FOOD SERVICE EXPERIENCE.
- Bachelor’s Degree
- MBA preferred
- Minimum five years Purchasing Manager role
- Effective oral and written skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and determine task priorities
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent computer skills with emphasis on Excel
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
