Position Overview: *

Apply highly effective and efficient procurement processes and systems to ensure the availability and quality of materials required to serve the company.
Responsibilities:

Review material requirement planning (MRP) orders in SAP (System generated requests) and manually generated requests, gathers quotes.

• Create and verify accurate information to order placing efficiently in SAP-GUI for procurement of parts

• Verify the requisitions with requestors from all departments and coordinate with Sr. Buyer to ensure buying practices are efficient

• Ensure products are delivered in a timely manner, and quality of the goods received is satisfactory

• Update Certificates of Insurance in Square 9 and Contractors Corner

• Compares prices amongst various vendors in order to make sound purchasing decisions

• Orders goods such as office supplies on a continuing basis in order to maintain certain inventory levels

• Research and recommend vendors for obtaining specifications, criteria, and other information for goods

• Reconciliation of invoices for administrative purchases such as water, coffee and other supplies and services such as trash pickup

• Attend daily plant operation coordination meetings

• Assist warehouse crew when needed moving parts and equipment
• Other duties as required

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• High school diploma or GED

• 6 months in Purchasing Department

• 1-2 years of industry experience in mining or related field

• Efficient in SAP/MM module

• Microsoft Office Suite

• Accounting Software (SQ9)
• Negotiation/Business skills highly preferred
