Just Sprinklers, Inc. is looking for a talented, hands-on Purchasing and Inventory Control Manager. Just Sprinklers, Inc. is a leading supplier of professional landscape and hardscape products for both commercial and residential projects. Our yard and stores maintain hundreds of these items in stock.
Primary responsibilities:
· All aspects of sourcing and acquiring materials, both stock and special orders
· Generate and place purchase orders, obtaining advantageous pricing and freight charges
· Verify received items match items ordered, work with vendors on back orders, returns
· Develop procedures to maintain accuracy of incoming and outgoing inventory
· Organize and maintain order in the yard
· Ensure that the inventory count and the inventory value in the business software match actual conditions. Implement periodic cycle counts and plan and implement an annual physical count
· Collaborate well with other managers to improve overall business performance
· Analyze deficiencies – develop systems to improve
Requirements:
· Computer skills –Need strong aptitude for use of computers in order to document and analyze all product related activities. Will need to interact with other vendor websites. Experience with several POS software systems, QuickBooks helpful.
· Strong planning and organizational skills. Attention to detail, efficiency of operation, and the ability to follow up and track details
· Interpersonal skill – strong communication skills both verbal and written. This position interacts with a variety of people including customers, fellow workers, vendors and company management. A professional manner is required.
· Prior experience with purchasing and inventory control is necessary. Experience in landscape industry preferred.
