We have an immediate Opening for an Assistant Purchasing Manager. This person must have skills and experience with negotiation, forecasting, mitigating material supply risks, and vendor management. Applicants must be able to think and respond strategically, aggressively, and effectively to obtain the best prices, delivery, and payment terms. This person will be sourcing for three separate SBU’s and needs experience with raw materials and MRO’s. Continuous improvement and problem-solving experience are a plus. This positions overseas raw material inventory and control.

Requirements:

· Proven experience managing suppliers, reducing costs, and controlling inventory.

· Critical, fact-based decision-making ability.

· MRP experience.

· Ability to strategically problem solve with the manufacturing and quality team.

· Must be a competitive leader who thrives in high-pressure environments.

· Must be self-motivated and driven to complete tasks by given deadlines.

· Excellent computer skills are required.

· Associate degree desired.
