TITLE:  PURCHASING MANAGER

REPORTS TO:  SHOP FOREMAN/CFO 

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for all shop purchases, ordering, receiving, and invoice reconciliation

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Make repair and supply purchases year-round for the Hwy 53 shop, Hwy 53 fabrication shop, pump shop, Stateline mixer shop, precast manufacturing and fabrication, concrete and asphalt plant.
• Establish a purchase order system and stock supplies for mechanics and fabricators.
• Work directly with Shop foreman/leads and vendors to obtain favorable pricing and reasonable freight charges, researching as necessary.
• Responsible for streamlining current purchasing processes, educating, and training as necessary.
• Receive goods and confirm quoted price to invoice; follow up as needed
• Responsible for compiling documentation for payment processing and coding to proper general ledger account
• Establish new vendors as required
• Work with vendors to establish a method to receive invoices with proper taxations recorded at the time of purchase.
• Maintain authorized purchaser list with local suppliers.
• Work closely with the office to ensure timely and accurate delivery of invoices.
