Purchasing Manager manages procurement and purchasing operations and implements the strategy to provide the materials and services to meet organizational requirements for quality, volume, availability, and pricing. Maintains strategic supplier relationships, negotiates contracts, and implements systems for monitoring performance, assessing risk, and responding to changes in demand or disruptions in the supply chain. Being a Purchasing Manager collaborates with other functions to define current and future inventory requirements and manage inventory levels. Implements processes and systems and utilizes technical tools to analyze data and increase responsiveness to material demands. Additionally, Purchasing Manager oversees auditing processes to ensure procurement and recordkeeping comply with any applicable industry or governmental regulations. Job purpose
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for all materials consumed at Twigg with the goal of reducing cost while improving quality and delivery times. The Purchasing Manager provides guidance and leadership to the Buyer(s) and oversees Stores and its personnel. The Purchasing Department team is responsible for the purchase and delivery of all perishable items, material requisition requests, MRO materials, OSV’s, and production material. Stores supervision includes but not limited to min/max levels, re- order points, and the appropriate EOQ for all perishables. In addition, the Purchasing Manager serves as the backup to the Buyer and their duties and responsibilities. The Purchasing Manager should be very proficient with MS Office products.
