JOB DUTIES:

• Place orders and expedite orders when appropriate.
• Verify pricing and quality documentation on purchase orders.
• Resolve PO and invoice discrepancies.
• Maintain online purchasing/supplier information
• Responsible for the system maintenance for purchase orders
• Performs independently on project work assigned by supervisor using computers communications and network skills in assigned timeframe.
• Check/Review/Work past due purchase order report, communicate to supervisor and resolve issues as appropriate.
• Handle receiving issues for raw materials and resolve as appropriate.
• Update supplier scorecard information.
• Manage purchases in JDE-IPSO system.
• Develop understanding of components purchased.
• Perform other purchasing related tasks as required.
• Must perform all other duties and responsibilities as determined by supervision/management.
• Must have knowledge of both plant and department environmental health and safety regulations and comply with said regulations accordingly.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must work well independently
• Must demonstrate good written, verbal, and math skills
• Must have ability to plan, organize, and make decisions
• Must be responsive to extraordinary situations
• Must be able to adapt to changing requirements
• Must maintain high degree of confidentiality
• Must demonstrate professionalism in supplier interfaces
• Must demonstrate substantial interpersonal skills for daily interaction with plant employees and suppliers
• Must be proficient with computer and have experience with AS400.
• Meet visual acuity requirements as documented in the Baxter Cleveland -Visual Acuity Procedure CL-01-01-037.
• Ability to sit and/or stand for long periods of time
• Ability to climb ladders
• Ability to reach above the shoulder
• Ability to bend/stoop

Education and/or Experience:

• High School diploma required
• Minimum of 2 years clerical-related experience required
• Purchasing experience preferred
