Additionally, Purchasing Clerk coordinates with internal teams to ensure that procurement needs are met promptly and efficiently. Requires a high school diploma. We are seeking a detail-oriented Purchasing Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the procurement process efficiently and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
**Responsibilities:**
- Fabricate purchase orders and agreements
- Manage freight costs
- Coordinate logistics for the delivery of goods
- Manage supply chain activities to optimize efficiency
- Assist with pricing coordination for Bid Packages
- Negotiate contracts with vendors to secure favorable terms
- Procure materials and services required for operations
- Maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing
- Oversee inventory control processes
**Experience:**
The successful candidate should possess the following skills and qualifications:
- Experience in purchasing, procurement, or related field
- Strong understanding of inventory control principles
- Familiarity with FishBowl and/or AutoQuotes would be beneficial
- Ability to negotiate effectively with suppliers
- Knowledge of supply chain management practices
- Familiarity with contract management processes
- Ability to manage short-ships, damaged freight and general project logistics preferred.
