Inputs transactions and administers a purchasing and contracts system or database. Being a Purchasing Agent interacts with suppliers to obtain favorable pricing terms, product specifications, monitor availability, and optimize savings. Expedites delayed orders and resolves issues with changes, returns, replacements, and credit arrangements. Additionally, Purchasing Agent coordinates with internal teams to ensure that procurement needs are met promptly and efficiently. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or team leader. The Purchasing Agent independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. General Purpose:
The general purpose of the job is to coordinate all aspects of the purchasing cycle for Dynastar/Lange/Look/Kerma and Rossignol Nordic and Bike products, from the integration of initial line list information coming from the product development team in Europe, sample ordering and logistics, and providing forecasting support to the Management team, through purchase order generation and placement based on customer orders and anticipated total needs.

Qualifications:
Minimum of Bachelor's degree (B.A.-B.S.) or equivalent from four-year College or technical school; or two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Strong computer skills: Advanced Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word.
Organizational skills for efficient office control are mandatory.
Ability to communicate professionally with people at all levels of the organization and external contacts.
Solid decision making skills and the ability to work independently.
Experience:
Previous experience in product management, sales support or vendor relations in the sporting goods industry is a plus.
