Expedites delayed orders and resolves issues with changes, returns, replacements, and credit arrangements. Additionally, Purchasing Agent coordinates with internal teams to ensure that procurement needs are met promptly and efficiently. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or team leader. The Purchasing Agent independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Responsibilities:
Creates purchase orders to service work orders
Checks stock for jobs
Receives materials in warehouse and move job-related materials
Moves inventory items to inventory and move service-related items to service shelf
Updates job equipment lists with received dates and quantities of materials
Receives materials returned from jobs in the warehouse and transfer to Inventory
Obtains “RMA’s” for defective items returned
Matches up packing lists with purchase orders
Matches up invoices with packing lists
Adjusts pricing to add fright and send to accounting for entry
Ships off items to job sites, service customers, etc.
Job Specifications & Physical Requirements:
Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
Must speak, read, and write English fluently.
Self-starter and possess the ability to work independently
Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
Excellent organizational skills.
Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
Able to lift and move objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
Ability to lift, crouch, reach, handle, push and pull regularly.
Ability to maintain strict punctuality on projects and attendance.
