POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented proactive Purchasing Agent to join our team at Elite Electric. The Purchasing Agent will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient procurement of materials and supplies necessary for our projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation skills, exceptional attention to detail, and an ability to manage vendor relationships effectively. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Source and procure materials, equipment, and supplies required for electrical projects while adhering to budgetary constraints and project timelines. 

-Conduct thorough market research to identify potential suppliers, evaluate vendor quotes, and negotiate favorable terms and pricing agreements.

-Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of purchases, pricing, and inventory levels using our software and/or systems.

-Monitor inventory levels and anticipate future supply needs to prevent shortages and ensure uninterrupted project workflows.

-Evaluate vendor performance based on factors such as reliability, quality, and responsiveness, and implement corrective actions when necessary.

-Resolve any issues or disputes with vendors related to quality, delivery, or pricing discrepancies in a prompt and professional manner.

-Coordinate with accounting and finance departments to process purchase orders, invoices, and payments in a timely manner.

-Continuously seek opportunities to optimize procurement processes, streamline workflows, and identify cost-saving initiatives. 

QUALIFICATIONS: 

-Proven experience working as a purchasing agent, procurement specialist, or similar role.

-Strong negotiation skills.

-Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to assess complex procurement challenges and develop effective solutions.

-Proficiency in using procurement software and tools to manage purchasing processes and track inventory.

-Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders.
