Job Title: Purchasing Agent

Reports to: Supply Chain Manager

JOB SUMMARY:

1. A primary focus for this position will be the day to day ordering of materials for scheduled and previously set up products. The goal is also to develop an understanding of the application and installation of the parts in the buses. On occasion this role will also be working with engineering and the factory to resolve problems or locate more appropriate components will strongly enhance the effectiveness. Other responsibilities include processing of non- conformance products and the general Support of Purchasing Dept.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Issue Purchase orders to vendors as required for material MOH using the Kanban Card System.
• Record vendor confirmations and expedite as needed to support production requirements.
• Verify item price and confirmation match.
• Review “Open Purchase Order Line” report - material past requested dock date. Follow up with supplier - notify the Supply Chain Manager if supplier cannot support our requirements.
• Process vendor managed inventory orders and receipts. Submit to Accounting for payment record any pricing issues and report to SCM for system updates.
• Process weekly orders for paint supplies based on supervisor’s weekly inventory to maintain the min on hand needed.
• Process NCR Reports – record data and order replacement parts/returns as required.
• Participate in monthly and year end inventories.
• Safety data sheets records.

EDUCATION/WORK EXPERIENCE:

1 year of purchasing background or maintaining retail inventory is highly desirable.

Computer skills Excel and Microsoft Word knowledge.

Strong communication and organizational skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $20.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
