Additionally, Purchasing Agent coordinates with internal teams to ensure that procurement needs are met promptly and efficiently. Requires a high school diploma. Typically reports to a supervisor or team leader. The Purchasing Agent independently performs a wide range of complex duties under general guidance from supervisors. Purchasing Agent
Responsibilities:
· Prepare reports and documents involving purchasing of inventory.
· Continuously build and maintain relationships with vendors.
· Maintain records of all transactions, purchasing orders, receipts, and payments.
· Review and process purchase orders.
· Monitoring inventory levels and determining purchase needs.
· Find ways to optimize warehouse and storage.
· Track all inventory. Manage cycle counts.
· Develop strategies for purchasing products.
· Scheduling and verifying purchase deliveries.
· All other duties assigned.
Qualifications:
· Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field such as supply chain management, logistics, finance, business, etc. is required.
· Proven experience in purchasing and inventory planning.
· Must have background using Microsoft 365 Suite.
· Familiarity with Activate or Acumatica is a plus.
